Governing Data

Accor has redefined its core business around the idea of “Enhanced Hospitality,” with tailor-made services to anticipate the slightest wishes of its guests and make them experience moments of emotion. But this personalization requires responsibility with data. Accor has turned data governance into a priority for all of its 280,000 talents. With Talend, Accor has also created a framework of trust around data. Now the right of access to personal information under the GDPR has gone from the legal time limit of 30 days, to just five days.

 Accelerating Time to Market

AstraZeneca has built a data lake on AWS and Talend is at the heart of that architecture, growing 5 times the amount since the start of its data journey. The focus of Talend has been around the Enabling Units, the global product portfolio strategy and the medical functions. AstraZeneca is now expanding and exploiting the usage of Talend across commercial functions and the science unit. For every dollar AstraZeneca spend on a data initiative, they are able to get $40 in return.

Governing Data

Talend is pivotal in helping areeba, the financial company, stay compliant and develop new customer services. A governed data lake provides a single source of truth for data and is used for internal projects such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML) or external services such as the Merchant Portal or the Youth App. Internally, the data team has also created a self-service layer, which enables data analysts to build business performance dashboards for executive and finance teams.

Being Customer-Obsessed

Infopro Digital
To bring data as close as possible to the business, Infopro Digital has set up Talend and a Snowflake cloud data warehouse on AWS, with a diverse set of systems, databases, and formats as its source. Business Units can now understand how thousands of professionals connect to the group’s solutions and identify their future customers or suppliers, all while remaining in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Using Talend Cloud and Snowflake, Kiloutou modernized and democratized access to company data. Now Kiloutou is able to offer self-service capabilities for each business unit with the implementation of a new robust and secure database that unified all previously existing sources. Among its initial use cases, Kiloutou optimized its financial close process down to five minutes, which previously took two and a half hours.

TM Forum
With a Datalytyx Palladium platform-as-a-service that includes Talend and Snowflake, TM Forum reduced the time required to prepare operational data from 12 hours to 20 minutes. This helps the association better serve its membership of communications service providers (CSPs) and their suppliers to digitally transform and thrive in the digital era.

Sharing Data With Partners

Hermes Parcelnet Ltd
Thanks to the strong partnership between Talend, Datalytyx and AWS, Hermes Parcelnet, the UK parcel delivery company, found the best deployment model for their needs using high velocity cloud APIs and IoT data solutions. Building A Data Lake

The Global Marketing and Sales IT team from Bayer, in cooperation with Cognizant Technology Solutions GmbH, built a large-scale data hub as a single trusted data source leveraging Talend.
