The program, which is focusing in particular on opportunities in France, Germany and the United Kingdom, has already successfully recruited 30 reseller partners from those countries. The agreements from the first nine months of the program represent almost 20 percent of Talend’s new subscription business.
“Our VAR program has produced significant growth and momentum since it kicked off, enabling us to keep pace with the increase in product demand we are experiencing,” said François Mero, senior vice president of sales EMEA, Talend. “Importantly, our VAR program is empowering participants to expand their relationships with existing customers, acquire new clients and drive new and recurring streams of revenue.”
Talend’s subscription-based solutions helps VARs form ongoing relationships with their customers and, given the complementary nature of Talend’s product portfolio, drive new up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
The first VAR appointed to the Talend program, Datalytyx, is achieving far-reaching benefits from its participation in the program. A leading UK-based provider of big data, digital transformation, governance and analytics solutions, and Talend’s number one VAR globally in 2015, Datalytyx is currently teaming with Talend to support a number of customers. For example, Datalytyx is using Talend Big Data Integration to help build a data lake for a major pharmaceutical giant and in a separate project for the company, using Talend Data Quality to help build a new compliance system.
As part of its involvement in the VAR program, Datalytyx is also using Talend solutions to deliver projects for a range of other well-recognized customers, including Calor Gas and Jaeger. For Calor Gas, Datalytyx is working on two engagements using Talend software. The first involves migrating back-end data warehouse ETL processes to Talend and the second, the construction of a data lake for a Customer 360 project. For Jaeger, Datalytyx just won a Master Data Management project to wrangle and manage the data from Jaeger’s ERP system for use in peripheral systems like ePOS and Performance Management.
Justin Mullen, Director, Datalytyx says: “We’ve benefited significantly as a result of being part of the Talend European VAR Program. The technical training and support they provided and our collaborative working relationship has helped ensure the smooth execution of our customer engagements. Talend has also benefited as we have invested in creating one of the largest Talend consulting practices in EMEA and grown some of the most experienced Talend architects and consultants outside Talend. Like all relationships, it must go two ways to make it work and that’s what we have with Talend.”
Talend offers a multi-tier VAR program to support a range of partners. Partners have access to automated promotional tools, selling strategies, customer success stories, sales and marketing materials, as well as technical support and training. Depending on the level of participation, partners may also be eligible for access to a dedicated technical support line, varying levels of pre-sales product support and leads from Talend marketing activities.
Talend continues to conduct its own marketing and sales activities and generate leads for qualifying partners based on their specific business needs, sponsorship and funding.
