Talend’s data integration solutions used by Caserta experts to enable clients to gain strategic value from information through leading edge big data analytics
Los Altos, CA and New York - March 26, 2013

Talend, the global integration software leader, and Caserta Concepts, a consulting and technology services firm specializing in data warehousing, business intelligence and big data analytics, today announced a partnership to help Caserta build highly scalable big data analytics solutions for their clients.

“At Caserta Concepts, our highly skilled consultants use the very latest technology to help our clients unlock the strategic value of their information,” said Joe Caserta, founder and CEO of Caserta Concepts. “Through the use of Talend’s big data integration and quality solutions, we can quickly build and deliver fast, scalable analytics solutions that are fully tailored to the unique business requirements of clients.”

In a recent project for one the leading US financial institutions, Caserta Concepts needed to architect and deploy a relevance engine based on Mahout and leveraging a Hadoop cluster that would recommend investment products to customers based on peer activity. The core of the project consisted of a recommendation engine for research reports that would improve customer experience and retention. Using Talend's highly scalable integration platform that could connect to any enterprise system and support natively Hadoop and other big data technologies, Caserta Concepts was able to quickly build and develop the required integration processes.

For a project at Uncommon Schools, a nonprofit organization that starts and manages outstanding urban charter public schools, Caserta Concepts architected and deployed a data warehouse and business intelligence solution using Talend’s data integration and data quality solutions to improve the management of data across schools in disparate regions. Caserta also used Talend as part of a data warehouse project for MedRecovery Management (MRM), a rapidly growing technology company that provides coordination of workers’ compensation benefits to health insurers.

Built on Talend’s award-winning open source integration technology, Talend Enterprise Big Data is a powerful and versatile big data integration solution that natively supports Apache Hadoop, including connectors for Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), HBase, HCatalog, Hive, Oozie, Pig and Sqoop. Talend Platform for Big Data extends the solution and is the only big data platform to provide deeply integrated big data quality.

"We are very excited to be working with leading systems integrators like Caserta Concepts to support their advanced project and deliver our enterprise-grade integration platform to their clients," said François Méro, vice president of global sales at Talend. "Caserta Concepts’ expertise in Talend’s solutions provides confidence to their clients about the quality of the projects they build and deliver, and help these organizations efficiently and effectively extract value from strategic information assets.”

Talend and Caserta Concepts will co-host a free webinar on April 3, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. ET titled “Introducing… the Big Data Ecosystem!” During this one-hour event, Talend and Caserta Concepts will describe an approach to achieve an architectural framework and roadmap to extend a traditional enterprise data warehouse environment into a big data ecosystem.
