Talend, the global big data integration software leader, today announced it has hired Ashley Stirrup as chief marketing officer, responsible for driving global marketing strategy, operations and product management. Stirrup joins Talend as the company is experiencing high growth, primarily driven by its native support for Hadoop and other modern platforms that help organizations of all sizes embark on their big data journey.
“Ashley brings a wealth of industry and marketing experience that we need to propel Talend into the next phase of our growth,” said Mike Tuchen, CEO of Talend. “His proven track record in building and leading world-class marketing organizations that disrupt industries will be paramount as we expand and develop our brand as a leader in the integration market. He is the perfect addition to round out our executive team.”
Before joining Talend, Stirrup was the senior vice president of Solution Marketing at ServiceSource, the global leader in recurring revenue management. Prior to that, he was vice president of Product Marketing at Taleo Corporation, a provider of cloud-based talent management later acquired by Oracle, and group vice president of Marketing for the Delivery Systems Division at Citrix Systems. Stirrup holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University.
“I am thrilled to join this fast-moving company and to contribute to its growth,” said Stirrup. “Talend’s unified platform and native big data integration capabilities put it in a unique position to help customers take advantage of the latest advances in both traditional and big data solutions.”
