This process provides multiple benefits, including streamlining and accelerating cloud data migration projects and enabling real-time business optics to drive everything from supply-chain optimisation to fraud detection. “Change data capture technologies offer speed, accuracy, and agility in data replication that can help businesses successfully optimise their real-time analytics and cloud migration initiatives,” said Stewart Bond, Research Director, IDC. “According to our recent market forecast, taking control of dynamic data is a high priority for companies that need to continue their digital transformation and plan for digital resiliency. Bringing Gamma Soft into Talend’s product portfolio is a great add for Talend and for its customers.” Véronique Goussard, general manager, Gamma Soft said, “Joining Talend is a great fit from a product and cultural perspective for Gamma Soft and for our customers. Talend Expands Google Cloud Partnership with BigQuery Designation

Redwood City, Calif. — April 6, 2022 — Talend, a global leader in data integration and data governance, today announced that it has successfully achieved the Google Cloud Ready - BigQuery Designation. Talend is one of a select group of launch partners identified to participate in this new designation programme. By earning this designation, Talend has proven that its integration and governance solutions have met a core set of functional and interoperability requirements when integrating with BigQuery, the highly scalable multi-cloud data warehouse. Through this advanced support, Google Cloud customers using BigQuery can rely on Talend to ensure everyone can access the data they need effortlessly, understand it, and use it with confidence — without exposing the business to risk. Google Cloud Ready - BigQuery is a partner integration validation programme that intends to increase customer confidence in partner integrations into BigQuery. As part of this initiative, Google Cloud engineering teams validate partner integrations into BigQuery in a three-phase process: Run a series of data integration tests and compare results against benchmarks; work closely with partners to fill any gaps; and refine documentation for mutual customers. Both Talend Data Fabric and Stitch received Google Cloud Ready - BigQuery Designations. “Data migration, integration, and governance are increasingly critical as businesses deploy modern data stacks that span multiple platforms and partners,” said Manvinder Singh, Director, Partnerships at Google Cloud. “Talend’s Google Cloud Ready - BigQuery designation is an indication that their connectors and integrations for BigQuery can be effectively and quickly deployed, and will deliver exceptional experiences for customers as they bring together BigQuery and partner platforms to power their digital transformations.” Businesses are using Talend solutions to ensure their enterprise Google Cloud data is complete, clean, uncompromised, and readily available to everyone who needs it throughout an organisation. Talend provides native connectivity to numerous Google Cloud services such as Google Cloud Storage, Google BigQuery, and Google Dataproc. In addition to a unique combination of data integration and governance capabilities, Talend offers the Talend Trust Score™ which can automatically crawl Google Big Query and provide a health assessment of data by intelligently diagnosing and resolving data integrity issues. “You need a data warehouse if you’re going to apply data science between collecting the data and building the data visualisation,” said Cherry Shah, Director of Engineering at CRED. “Once we realised we needed to move the data from Postgres to Google BigQuery, we knew we needed an ETL solution — ideally one that was very easy to use. We didn't want to code it. We wanted maintenance to be simple enough that anyone could do it. Thanks to Stitch, everything's very normalised. There are no duplicates, no suspicious calculations. It's very fact-based. Now we can make the data science projects work better and make them easier to maintain.” Talend Stitch enables Google Cloud-based teams to easily access, move and make sense of their data by acting as a funnel between 140+ native sources and destinations. Google BigQuery is one of the most popular destination integrations on Stitch with over 1,400 customers, such as Your Super and CRED, relying on BigQuery to house critical data. “Things move quickly, and we need to know what happened yesterday in order to inform what we’re going to do today,” said Gabriel Freeman, Business Intelligence Manager for Your Super. “When I first connected Stitch to Google BigQuery the data almost immediately began to flow. It's a lot more cost-effective to get your data automated this way, as opposed to the other solutions that I found. We can have a smaller, leaner data team because of the work Stitch is able to do.” “Having a cloud data environment that is trusted and healthy is essential for businesses to make mission critical decisions and drive desired outcomes,” said Rolf Heimes, Global Head of Business Development, Talend. “Talend is dedicated to serve as a strategic business partner with Google Cloud and help our customers achieve their technology goals by leveraging the breadth of services and pace of innovation that Google provides. We’re thrilled to receive BigQuery Designation.” To learn more about Talend’s expertise with Google Cloud, visit https://www.talend.com/partners/google    About Talend Talend, a leader in data integration and data governance, is changing the way the world makes decisions. Talend Data Catalog 8 Delivers Smart, Fast, and Flexible Data Compliance

The latest release enables a proactive approach to manage compliance with greater control Redwood City, Calif. – March 24, 2022 - Talend, a global leader in data integration and data governance, today announced the availability of Talend Data Catalog 8, an automated data catalogue providing world-class proactive data governance capabilities that enable organisations to discover, organise, and share trusted data with a single, secure point of control. Talend adds new capabilities with this update, including tailored business modelling and machine learning-powered data classification and documentation. The latest release enables organisations of any size to persistently govern data at scale and ensure the health of the data being used to drive business outcomes. For many organisations, there is an ongoing mistrust in data and a lack of understanding where data is, its policies, and its definitions. In a recent survey, 60% of executives do not trust the data they are working with to make decisions. Having comprehensive visibility and auditability into the data in use mitigates decision latency, productivity losses, and potential regulatory fines. “Reliance on data has grown exponentially in recent years and businesses today need greater control and trust of their data to ensure it is healthy for decision making and operations,” said Daniel Mayer, Vice President, Product Management, Talend. “We’re excited to announce the availability of our newest Data Catalog release, which will help companies implement a proactive approach to governance, to accelerate productivity and help them quickly achieve value from their data.” Part of the Talend Data Fabric platform, Talend Data Catalog 8 is built on a strong foundation of metadata management and data cataloguing capabilities. The solution helps data architects and governance specialists, in particular, to accelerate their productivity and work smarter to realise a faster time to value with data. New features to help businesses achieve greater data compliance and control include: Tailored business modelling: Define custom, flexible, and adaptable metamodels for any domain that accurately reflect business priorities and objectives. This capability prevents the bending of business rules and conforming to off-the-shelf models that are only a partial fit, helping teams increase their overall business agility. Automated data classification: Monitor data stores automatically and use machine learning to classify data around important patterns, like compliance violations, and then proactively send alerts to data stewards. This ability to enable automatic compliance at scale from a single location improves productivity and simplifies API execution, which increases accountability, limits risk, and avoids unscalable alternatives like processes built in-house or point solutions. Now, data professionals can spend less time manually managing the process of classification and more time helping the business use data to drive business outcomes. Customised Objects & User Rules: Define and customise objects, including relationships between business objects/models and technical objects. Rules can be assigned to owners for activities, responsibilities, and assets. This capability reduces risk and enables the ability to export documentation and re-import it on a new object with similar name space, saving time and manual work and increasing overall productivity. Enhanced Lineage with Inference: Export data lineage and transformation logic using secure API interfaces. This unique capability enables businesses to meet compliance requests through inference evidence by capturing changes throughout the entire data life cycle. Talend Data Catalog 8 is available immediately. Talend enables Thryv Australia to fulfil vision of becoming a fully digital company

Australia's leading marketing partner uses Talend to create a core cloud data infrastructure REDWOOD CITY, Calif. & SYDNEY – March 16, 2022 - Talend, a global leader in data integration and data governance, today announced that Thryv Australia, a Thryv Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: THRY) company, and Australia's leading digital, marketing and directory services provider, has deployed Talend Data Fabric platform to transform its data infrastructure to improve productivity and speed-to-market. Thryv Australia, formerly Sensis, engages businesses with Australian consumers through its leading digital consumer businesses (Yellow Pages, White Pages, TrueLocal, Whereis), search engine marketing and optimisation services, website products, social, data, and mapping solutions, as well as through its digital advertising agency, Found. Thryv Australia is also Australia's largest print directory publisher, including the Yellow Pages and White Pages. “Thryv Australia, back in 2014, had a bespoke platforms and technology infrastructure that had been built over several years to support the business function and activities. Thryv has recognised that to succeed in becoming a truly digital business, there was no choice but to move to a cloud platform and modernise data driven capabilities, " said Dheeraj Garg, Head of Data Platforms at Thryv Australia. "To do so, it was critical to have a consolidated, enterprise-wide data management capability that we can build on, and Talend delivered this for us. Talend helped us on our journey to becoming a flexible, adaptable, fully digital company. As data is the goal, we believe that with Talend, we found the best partner." Cloud Migration and Modernisation The first phase of Thryv Australia's evolution involved migrating most of the company's 3,500 servers, located in five data centres, to a unique cloud provider. With the help and guidance of system integration partner, Thryv’s IT team tackled its 30-year-old legacy system which underpinned the print directory element of the business. Using Talend Data Fabric, all Thryv Australia data and analytics were shifted from the legacy system to a new, cloud-based modular infrastructure based on AWS, on which a data lake was established. To simplify the data integration ecosystem across its digital and print business, Thryv Australia also implemented master data management capabilities to the Talend ecosystem. With the support of Thryv Australia service partners, Thryv has built data quality frameworks and data stewardship models on Talend Data Fabric to support its data quality requirements. By ensuring a 360-customer view, Thryv Australia can also better predict customer needs, meet customer expectations, and develop out-of-the-box innovations by creating new products and services. Data Control and Compliance From the data governance and compliance perspective and based on the most comprehensive regulations such as the GDPR, the new data infrastructure enables Thryv Australia to create a single view of customers through the ingestion of data pipelines and lineage models. This supports the creation of automated functions to ensure data compliance and responses to requests from customers and users. "Thryv Australia's success in executing new use cases following the implementation of the new cloud data infrastructure with Talend was an inspiration," said Jeremy Uniacke, VP of Information Technology at Thryv Holdings, Inc. "We will replicate this innovative architecture and Talend's capabilities within Thryv US and extend it globally to continue offering a superior customer experience." "Thryv modernised its IT business and retiring legacy assets in favour of the cloud by selecting AWS and Talend," said Mark Fazackerley, regional vice president for Australia and New Zealand at Talend. "Several projects have already been successfully delivered. We are proud to accompany Thryv, with the support of our key partners, in this critical phase of its evolution towards a company that is definitively on the path of innovation with healthy data."
