San Mateo, CA and Maidenhead — October 11, 2022,Talend, a global leader in data integration and management, announced today that the company has joined Crown Commercial Service’s G-Cloud 13 framework. The framework enables the UK central government and other public sector organizations to streamline the cloud-based solutions purchasing processes. Talend joins a select group of pre-approved suppliers to support public sector organizations in achieving healthy data while guaranteeing a rigorous set of standards, including security, compliance, and sustainability in the cloud. The inclusion of Talend’s offering in the G-Cloud 13 framework is effective immediately.
Crown Commercial Service supports the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services. In 2021/22, CCS helped the public sector to achieve commercial benefits equal to £2.8 billion - supporting world-class public services that offer best value for taxpayers.
Driven by an increasing need for agility and flexibility, cloud adoption by the public sector organizations has expanded. For the fiscal year 2021/2022, G-Cloud is reporting a £ 3.73 billion spend through the framework, highlighting the increased interest in cloud services and solutions. This adoption is also driven by the UK cloud-first policy that encourages public sector organizations to consider cloud solutions as part of their IT strategies and planning processes.
The agility and the scalability provided by cloud solutions enable the industrialization of critical use cases – real-time data analytics, IoT, edge computing, etc. – powering the digital transformation of the public sector. This supports the development of operations and services as well as a better citizens’ digital experience, including the digitization of administrative procedures or simplified access to public services, such as healthcare or education.
