Talend Breaks from the Industry with New Packaging, Product and Service Innovations to Deliver Healthier Data

New high-value, high-productivity options increase business agility for more organizations and more roles REDWOOD CITY, Calif., November 3, 2021 — Talend, a global leader in data integration and data integrity, today announced its Fall ’21 release. Providing new service, product, and packaging innovations, Talend applies data health concepts across its platform to help everyone from business leaders to data professionals realize value from their data quickly.Talend’s latest release introduces its first solution delivered *-as-a-service, new product capabilities to accelerate data professional productivity, and an industry-first packaging option that supports unlimited rows and unlimited users to provide unmatched, predictable pricing and greater control of data costs. According to a recent survey, 78% of executives have challenges making data-driven decisions and 60% don’t always trust the data they use.  Clearly, without trust in data, any sort of insight will always be questioned or worse yet – critical decisions may be delayed and based on bad data. “It’s no longer just about that first mile data movement from point A to point B. Simply moving any data into a business process, analytics environment, or machine learning model will not deliver successful business outcomes,” said Krishna Tammana, CTO at Talend. “Our focus is to help customers with the last mile in data management, ensuring they have healthy data when and where they need it, in the right context.  When a business can build this into its systems and culture at scale, at the speed of business, is when it will consistently deliver successful business outcomes. Our new release builds upon the innovative quality and trust capabilities in our platform that has made Talend a leader over many years, enabling more organizations and people to benefit from healthy data.” Highlights of the Talend Fall ’21 release include: Talend Data Quality Service gives business leaders a path to healthier data without technology or headcount investments. Data Quality Service leverages Talend’s market-leading data quality technology, frameworks, dashboards, and specialists to help companies monitor the quality of business-critical data continuously and achieve healthy data quality insights consistently. Native Trust Score for Snowflake profiles entire datasets inside Snowflake Data Cloud, ensuring data professionals can leverage healthy, analytics-ready data for their businesses. Self-service Data API sharing in Talend Data Fabric enables data engineers to run processes, applications, and analytics without relying on a developer because the new no-code product creates and shares APIs in minutes rather than following a process that typically takes days. An industry-first, Stitch Unlimited’s non-consumption-based pricing gives analysts predictable data ingestion costs and improved productivity. Now, analysts can focus less on consumption volumes that drive ingestion costs and more on getting value out of their data. Additionally, Stitch users can connect to multiple destinations from a single account. Additional new capabilities aimed to bring healthier data to organizations include write once, use anywhere Data Quality rules designer for greater agility, tailored business modeling in Data Catalog to meet governance requirements, and scalable Talend Trust ScoreÔ analysis of data automatically crawled from multiple cloud data warehouses. “Having healthy data has enabled us to ship over a thousand packages a day and complete over tens of thousands of fulfilled orders in a single month. We expect to ramp up to tens of thousands of sample orders per day by end of this year,” said Juan Lopez, EVP of Engineering, Material Bank, a supplier of home furnishing samples. “Talend is the center of our org and the most important software we have today, hands down.” Talend will showcase its Fall ’21 release at its annual Talend Connect 2021 customer conference.  Talend’s new platform capabilities and services will be available in Q4. Talend Announces Latest Innovations to Support Journey to Healthier Data

Latest Talend Data Fabric advances analytics, security, and collaborative governance across the enterprise Redwood City, CA - August 11, 2021 - Talend, a global leader in data integration and integrity, today announced the latest innovations added to Talend Data Fabric, a complete integration and governance platform designed to manage the health of corporate information. Available now, new enhancements from Talend provide data professionals with new, high-performance integrations to leading cloud intelligence platforms, a self-service API portal, collaborative data governance capabilities, and private connections between Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure to ensure data security. As proven by the pandemic, it has never been more important for businesses to become data-driven.  Despite years of investment in business applications, process automation, analytics, and more, recent research from Talend shows that 78% of executives still have challenges making data-driven decisions. This is partially explained by the fact that 60% of executives don’t always trust the data they work with. “One of the biggest crises businesses face today is a lack of agility caused by untimely, inaccessible, incomplete, and inaccurate data,” said Krishna Tammana, CTO, Talend. “With Talend’s latest release, we’re helping data professionals connect, share, and improve their data faster and more securely.  These innovations represent one step in our ongoing journey to help our customers put healthier data at the center of their businesses.”  The new Talend Data Fabric capabilities: Enable advanced data analytics and data sharing. Talend provides native integration with Databricks 7.3 and AWS EMR 6.2 on Apache Spark 3, which helps organizations take advantage of next-generation data analytics platforms to perform powerful and advanced analytics at scale while enjoying the faster performance, easier use, and greater flexibility of Spark 3.    This release also introduces a self-service API portal that provides a central listing of APIs and documentation to enable internal teams and external partners to discover, learn, integrate, and share data via microservices.  The API portal also helps improve developer productivity and collaboration by making it easier to share APIs, documentation, and data structures across the app development team. Ensure comprehensive security and protection. Talend is the first data integration and governance provider to support private connectivity between Talend and AWS or Azure instances via a private link. In addition to ensuring that sensitive data is secure and never exposed to the Internet, the use of a private link offers several additional advantages over a VPN, including reduced data transfer costs, faster time to deploy and operate, and increased performance for mission-critical workloads due to extra-low network latency and no Internet reliance. Private link support also provides compliance with local data protection and industry regulations such as PCI and HIPAA. Talend also extends its single-sign-on and multi-factor authentication to meet security best practices and deliver a straightforward user login experience to all customers of Talend’s cloud platform without additional cost.  Deliver self-service data governance at scale.  Talend provides tight coupling of data stewardship and data integration where read/write capabilities can be easily added to a data quality or governance "campaign" directly from a data pipeline. This provides greater collaboration between IT, who creates data jobs or pipelines, and the business subject matter experts, resulting in faster and more scalable data quality processes and subsequent decision making. “Talend continues to innovate and provide us with data governance capabilities that aide our business users in operating with more autonomy. The ability to manage data in campaigns directly without IT intervention, while at the same time retaining the ability to collaborate with IT when needed, gives us the agility to speed when it matters the most,” said Rachell Powell, Senior Application Development Manager at Ferguson Enterprises. Talend’s new capabilities help businesses accelerate to a modern, healthy data environment. The unified Talend Data Fabric platform supports greater confidence in an organization’s data along with the ability to get more value from that data with more advanced analytics and greater sharing. Talend Extends APAC Presence with Cloud Data Infrastructure in Australia to Serve Customer Growth

Helps customers maintain data sovereignty requirements and improve organization’s data health Redwood City, CA and SYDNEY - June 30, 2021 - Talend, a global leader in data integration and data integrity, today announced the opening of its newest regional cloud data infrastructure in Australia to support Talend’s expansion and growth in Asia Pacific (APAC). Talend’s new cloud data infrastructure will provide Australian enterprises with confidence and clarity into their data while addressing regional data sovereignty, privacy, residency, and performance requirements. The Sydney-based cloud infrastructure, operated on Amazon Web Services, Inc (AWS), will be operational to host customers in July 2021 and generally available to all ANZ organizations.   According to Gartner, “the events of last year allowed CIOs to overcome any reluctance of moving mission critical workloads from on-premises to the cloud. Even absent the pandemic there would still be a loss of appetite for data centers."[1] Gartner forecasted in other research that Australian Public Cloud spending would reach USD 7.3 billion by the end of 2021, increasing 18.4% from last year, with cloud application services (SaaS) spending rising by 16.9%.[2]   “Our underlying technology platform based on Talend has helped us disrupt the traditional, static financial services model, creating a real-time data-driven business and culture across our organization" said Andrew Bates, Chief Technology Officer at Harmoney. "Having a Talend instance located in the Australia/New Zealand Region will assist us to further align with regional requirements given potential future data legislation changes and benefit our customers. I'm very excited about the company's future growth across Australia and New Zealand and look forward to a productive ongoing relationship with Talend."   As industry and government regulations evolve, Talend's customers can maintain flexibility to keep up with the changes. By reducing compliance and operational risk with a cloud data infrastructure deployed independently in Australia, Talend can maintain high standards regarding data residency, security, data sovereignty, and operational best practices.   “Our clients are increasingly adopting Cloud capabilities to help improve customer service, drive innovation, or just to keep up with competition. Cloud gives our clients the power to transform and reinvent their business,” said Thierry Lotrian, Partner Analytics & Cognitive at Deloitte Australia. “It is fantastic to have Technology organizations like Talend investing in the local Australian market when it comes to Cloud infrastructure enabling Australian businesses and government alike to ride the next wave of technology driven innovation. Having the data center in Australia will play a critical role in complying with the data sovereignty requirements that many of our clients have in Australia.”   A unified approach to data, consistent with organizational needs and governance practices, requires fully transparent data management processes as well as documented and communal data quality standards. Talend Data Fabric is a single platform that delivers complete, clean, and uncompromised data in real-time. As more data is ingested and analyzed, Talend helps companies clearly understand, in a quantifiable way, the overall reliability, risk, and return of their data, — one of their most valuable business assets.   "Every business is now in the data business. In support of Talend’s growing market, I'm delighted to announce the addition of new cloud data infrastructure in Australia," said Stu Garrow, Senior Vice President and General Manager APAC at Talend. "As strategic partners to our customers, it's important that we offer insight on holistic, big-picture data solutions that solve business problems and give clarity and confidence in their data. I'm excited to see Talend's continued growth and this significant investment to create a framework designed for data health solutions of our customers' success."   For more information about Talend Data Fabric, see this page.   [1] Gartner, Gartner Forecasts Worldwide Public Cloud End-User Spending to Grow 23% in 2021, Press Release, April 21, 2021 [2] Gartner, “Forecast: Public Cloud Services, Worldwide, 2019-2025, 1Q21 Update”, Colleen Graham et al, March 25, 2021, End-User Spending Basis. Talend Partners with Snowflake in Breakthrough Development to Deliver Healthy, Analytics-Ready Data at Scale inside Data Cloud

Technology collaboration assesses and improves data accuracy and reliability from directly inside Snowflake environments Redwood City, CA - June 9, 2021 - Talend, a global leader in data integration and integrity, today announced that it is working closely with Snowflake, the Data Cloud Company, to offer an instant way for  users to verify the quality of their data inside Data Cloud. Announced at Snowflake Summit 2021, Talend Trust ScoreÔ for Snowflake leverages Snowpark to immediately assess and improve data accuracy  inside a Snowflake environment, delivering quality data and helping companies drive quicker business decisions.   In a recent survey, at least half of executives don’t have a high degree of confidence in their company’s ability to deliver quality data in terms of data accuracy, consistency, accessibility, or completeness. To begin to address this concern, Talend is collaborating with Snowflake to deliver data quality capabilities within Snowflake. This will make it possible for organizations to make sense of all their data with speed and accuracy and more easily address compliance rules and regulations.   "With Talend and Snowflake, customers will be able to confidently make business decisions with healthy data, to uncover new business opportunities, accelerate growth, and increase customer engagement that can generate new revenue streams,” said Tarik Dwiek, Sr. Director of Technology Alliances.   Leveraging Snowflake’s Snowpark developer environment and Java UDFs, Talend Trust Score for Snowflake with Snowflake makes it possible for customers to use sophisticated data profiling algorithms directly to perform reliability checks on their Snowflake data. With a simple click, Snowflake customers will be able to increase their performance and accuracy by running quality checks on entire data sets without the use of external applications or moving sample sets. It also addresses data privacy and sovereignty concerns by keeping processing inside Snowflake so no data leaves the environment. Talend runs, computes, and scales entirely natively within Snowflake using Snowpark and Java UDF, reducing risks, complexity, and costs, and helping organizations meet compliance rules and regulations.   “It’s not enough to simply collect, move and prepare data more efficiently. The need for trusted data aligns with conversations I’m having with customers and many of our consulting and delivery partners,” said Rolf Heimes, Global Head of Business Development, Talend. “Data has become a black box that leaves us open to inefficiencies, missed opportunities, and even catastrophic failure. There needs to be a way to provide a clear perspective on the reliability, usability, and value of the data in any organization. As a first step, Talend has developed Trust Score for Snowflake to give Snowflake users an easy way to keep their business safer and bring confidence to every decision.”   For more information on Talend Trust Score for Snowflake, please visit this blog.
