A word from Talend's COO

In the minds of many today, open source means free software. This can partly be explained by the fact that the word free means both "free of charge" and "freedom". It is also true that the general public tends to be aware of open source only in the context of well-known products, such as Firefox or Thunderbird. These cost nothing and are financed through a non-profit foundation, which receives advertising fees and donations. This is far from being the case for all open source vendors.
