Operational Integration

Operational data integration addresses a number of distinct integration needs, specifically:

• Right-time or batch exchanges of data between systems in the IT infrastructure
• Synchronization or replication of databases
• Data migration
• Data loading

A number of organizations have attempted to address these needs by implementing custom programs or routines, developed using any number of programming or scripting languages (Perl, COBOL, SQL, Python, Java, shell, etc.).
