Talend Integration Suite - Development

After completing this training course, you will be able to develop your jobs using the power and benefits of the Advanced Studio.

You will be able to develop, debug and run your jobs and benefit from the resources available to you.

By combining the content of Talend Open Studio Foundation training with the specificities of Talend Integration Suite, this training course help industrialize the development of your jobs.

Due to its density, the training is to be planned over 4 consecutive days.

Duration::

4 days or 28 hours

 1. Presentation of Talend Integration Suite

  1. Become familiar with the architecture
  2. Presentation of the Server side

 2. Get started with the Advanced Studio

  1. Connect to the Repository and/or work locally
  2. Model needs and document a project
  3. Use the Job Designer to generate the code
  4. Manage file access (XML, positional, delimited, etc.)
  5. Manage database access (ODBC, native connections)
  6. Use the different transformation components
  7. Map data using a graphical tool (join with tMap)
  8. Qualify data using filters
  9. Generate multiple outputs and handle rejections
  10. Inject code into a job, develop and centralize these routines
  11. Manage the sequencing of these jobs

 3. The advanced features of Advanced Studio

  1. Save time with the preview feature
  2. Industrialize these developments using Joblets
  3. Follow the data evolution using CDC components

 4. Centralize and share metadata in the Repository

  1. Define and maintain Metadata
  2. Use the Web Services metadata definition wizard
  3. Benefit from the SQL Builder tool to organize the Schema and Queries
