The Repository Manager helps coordinate multiple project repositories and automate transfer of processes among Talend repositories, as is needed in any production environment.

Typical use cases include:

• Automating change control processes in your development environment, such as promoting processes from a development environment to test and production environments
• Synchronizing development repositories, such as among separate teams
• Exchanging and sharing common objects (such as reference projects) among multiple teams

Repository Manager provides modules for the following tasks:

• Administering  repositories
• Manage roles and permissions on repositories
• Accessing centralized resources
• Managing and automating migration tasks between repositories
• Managing common objects across repositories and different versions of repositories

To support the implementation of automated, reliable change control, Repository Manager adds to the Talend environment:

• Configuration/definition of Repositories, including: Purpose, Type (Source Only, Target Only or Source & Target), and other attributes
• A framework of user roles and permissions
• Automated object export and import
• Rule-based administrative actions
• Rule-triggering conditions (scheduled or on-demand)
• Definition of import/export rules (Source, Target, Item Filters, and other attributes)

Repository Manager functionality is presented using a Web-based interface. A centralized dashboard provides monitoring for all administrative actions in your repository.

The Testing Platform provides a framework to set up an overall quality assurance program on jobs developed with Talend.

It supports a large number of testing processes and helps to automate QA and regression testing, in order to validate jobs against defined specifications.
Among other uses, the Testing Platform can, for example, qualify new versions of Jobs and ensure jobs remain up and running during and after a system migration or in case of changes in the IT infrastructure.

Talend Testing Platform can include a wide range of tests:

• Unit test
• Workload test / stress test
• Functional tests
• Performance tests

The Testing Platform relies on Talend's own integration technology to load parameters, build and execute multiple test processes in parallel or in sequence. Dedicated Java components are used to assert the expected results of a job and to validate actual results against expectations.

The front end is a web-based application that provides exhaustive pass/fail reports based on the metrics returned by the test processes. The results display in the form of matrices and charts, and access to detailed error/warning logs is provided in order to drill down into any issue identified.

The back end, based on Talend's Command Line technology, includes scripts that helps to set up automation processes, schedule job launching, catch execution status, capture metrics returned into audit tables, and so on.
