Nuremberg office will support development of the business in open-source-fertile German-speaking countries
NUREMBERG, Germany - October 18, 2007 - Talend, the first open source data integration vendor, announced today that it has opened a new office in Nuremberg, Germany. This office will support the business operations of Talend in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and German-speaking Switzerland).
François Méro, VP and General Manager for Talend in Europe, explained: "It was quite straightforward to decide to launch our operations on the German market. Indeed, Germany is a clear leader when it comes to acceptance and use of Open Source solutions: almost 60% of German enterprises already use Open Source software. We are excited about the opportunity to convince them, as well as the remaining 40%, to use the data integration solutions from Talend."
Data Integration and Business Intelligence veteran Martin Lange has been appointed Business Development Manager for the German market. He will support Talend users, develop the business, and develop the partnership programs. He will also introduce the Talend Replacement Program which enables users to switch easily from a proprietary Data Integration solution to Talend's open source products. Martin Lange brings over 13 years of expertise in the software development branch, Business Intelligence consulting and Business Development.
