LOS ALTOS, Calif. - July 31, 2008 - Talend, the first provider of open source data integration software, today announced the appointment of Jean-Luc Solans as vice president of strategy and business development. Solans, a 20-year enterprise software industry veteran, will be responsible for building strategic partnerships to accelerate Talend's rapid growth.
Solans joins Talend after successful tenures at Hyperion, a performance management software provider, and IRI Software. With two decades of software sales and marketing experience in the U.S. and Europe, Solans has a record of building high-impact sales teams. At Hyperion, Solans ultimately specialized in Competitive Intelligence. At IRI Software, Solans managed major accounts including Unilever and Procter & Gamble.
“Enterprise customers are increasingly looking for alternatives to high-priced, inflexible proprietary vendors so I couldn't have picked a better time to join Talend,” said Solans. “With many recent successes in large corporations worldwide, and the release last month of the first open source data profiling product, Talend has been opening a lot of eyes and proving that open source data integration is on the rise in the enterprise market.”
“Jean-Luc's business development and market expertise will help Talend define and execute strategic initiatives throughout the world,” said Bertrand Diard, CEO of Talend. “We're pleased to welcome Jean-Luc as a key addition to the growing Talend team.”
