Talend wins real time integration contract with the University of Newcastle

MAIDENHEAD, UK - August 10, 2009 - Talend, the recognized market leader in open source data integration software, today announced a deal with the University of Newcastle to provide Talend Integration Suite RTx, a new real-time data integration platform for enterprise application integration needs.

One of the reasons that the University chose the Talend Integration Suite RTx was that the real-time functionality of the solution would add significant benefits to a data integration project that the University called Project IDMAPS.

Project IDMAPS is a research project funded by the national funding body JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) and aims to produce an exemplar of a single, logical, institutional data infrastructure based on the University's campus management system.
