Nick White Brings 25 Years of Experience and Expertise Leading Financial Operations for Emerging Growth Technology Leaders

LOS ALTOS, Calif. - August 2, 2010 - Talend, the recognized market leader in open source data management software, today announced that Nick White has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) where he will be responsible for all of Talend's global finance and administration operations. White has extensive experience driving financial management and planning for emerging growth technology companies, specifically in open source and enterprise software. Reporting directly to Bertrand Diard, co-founder and CEO of Talend, he will play an instrumental role in further extending Talend's leadership and innovation in the data management market and contribute to Talend’s accelerated growth.

"2010 has already been a breakthrough year for Talend in innovation, customer adoption and partner development. Nick's experience working with technology companies at a similar stage of development will help us build on this performance," said Diard. "We are committed to developing a corporate structure that can scale and support the explosive demand for Talend's high value, cost-optimized data management solutions. The addition of Nick to our team reflects that commitment."

White has 25 years of experience managing and driving the financial operations for technology companies, particularly for ones that are changing the dynamics of established markets. Prior to Talend, he was the CFO at SpringSource, a leader in Java application infrastructure and management, recently acquired by VMware. His numerous accomplishments at SpringSource included helping to secure Series B venture financing with top tier investors, completing four acquisitions of U.S. and international companies and closing the sale of the company to VMware for $445 million. Previously, he was the CFO at Transitive Corporation, a binary translation software company, where he closed three rounds of financing and negotiated OEM relationships with Apple, IBM, Intel, Fujitsu-Siemens and Red Hat. White has also served in senior financial positions at NeXT Computer and California Energy. Earlier in his career, he was a senior audit manager at Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers) serving high-technology clients in Silicon Valley.

"Talend has clearly demonstrated that its open source data management solutions provide a far superior alternative to the legacy world of expensive, proprietary technologies," said White. "I am excited at the chance to help capitalize on this ideal opportunity and look forward to working closely with the world class team at Talend to further extend our value to customers and our impact on the market."
