Talend Integration Suite: a universal solution for the Revenue Commissioners

MAIDENHEAD, UK - April 6, 2009 - Talend, the first provider of Open Source data integration software, has today announced that the Revenue Commissioners in Ireland have introduced Talend Integration Suite into its open source portfolio to meet various data integration needs.

The Revenue Commissioners have successfully deployed a data warehouse since the mid nineties and have been using this for query, reporting and analytics to model and manage the administration of taxes and duties in Ireland.

“Our use of business intelligence and analytics continues to expand, so it is timely for us to better automate our data management and transformation processes. Quality of product, value for money and openness were key considerations, and we found the skills required to be a good fit with our existing expertise”, explained Seán Sutton, Revenue's Business Intelligence manager.

Talend Integration Suite is being deployed as the corporate tool for all projects up to and including enterprise-wide projects. Benefits already identified by the warehouse team include the re-use of rules (thanks to the component library and the shared repository) together with the speed of developing optimised structures for query, reporting and analytics.
