Talend Creates Application Integration Division and Names Experienced Leadership Team

Scott Devens to Lead New Division and Pat Walsh to Head Application Integration Marketing

SURESNES, France and LOS ALTOS, Calif. - November 23, 2010 - Talend, the recognized market leader in open source data management software, today announced the creation of the application integration division and appointed Scott Devens as general manager and Pat Walsh as vice president of marketing of the new division.

Devens brings over 24 years of experience in the technology industry to this new role. Prior to joining Talend, he was vice president of worldwide sales and field operations for Progress Software, vice president and executive officer at IONA Technologies and held various senior management roles in sales and finance with EMC and Data General. He holds a bachelor of science in business administration from Bryant University and a master’s in business administration from Nichols College.

Pat Walsh has spent the last 20 years in the infrastructure software industry. Prior to joining Talend, he led product marketing for Progress Software, was vice president of marketing at IONA Technologies, and has held senior product marketing and product management roles at Solid and Hewlett Packard. Walsh holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and economics and a master’s degree in engineering management from Dartmouth College.

Devens and Walsh will be joined by Sopera’s former CEO and Co-Founder Harald Weimer and former CTO and Co-Founder Ricco Deutscher. Weimer will take on the new role of vice president of worldwide sales and Deutscher will become chief technology officer of the new division.
