Powered By Talend - OEM & SaaS Partner Program
Talend’s award-winning technology is lightweight, high-performing, and configurable, with products that are pre-configured to be easily embedded, bundled, or hosted. That means Talend partners—with very little effort—can include their own re-branded versions of Talend as part of their products or services. Talend’s objective is to make it both simple and profitable for OEM partners to become Powered by Talend.
“Talend's commitment to the success of our OEM partners has never been stronger. Our collective achievements exemplify the global strength and quality of our partners' applications and Talend's technology. By making our partners' success a top corporate priority, Talend will reinforce its position as the global standard in integration solutions.”
Keith Goldstein, Vice President of Worldwide Channels and Alliances, Talend
When software vendors or SaaS providers become Powered by Talend, their products or services take full advantage of Talend’s highly scalable, enterprise-grade, open source technologies, so they can effectively address the complexities of integration—from data cleansing and data integration, to application integration.
Talend’s technology is:
- Easy to implement: OEM partners are set up to manage their enterprise-wide data in very little time. That’s because all of Talend’s products are built on the Universal Platform, so design, development, and installation are straightforward. Intuitive graphical tools simplify the creation of a flexible and active data model - and the Talend product set is easy to embed.
- Easy to use: The Talend platform features a user-friendly interface specifically designed to promote sharing and collaboration. And Talend’s unique architecture makes it simple for developers to implement a job once, and then deploy it across servers an unlimited number of times - so they’ll save valuable time and resources while ramping up productivity.
- High value, but low cost: Talend’s open source business model gives OEM partners the best of both worlds. Leverage the mindshare of more than 750,000 developers and all that they represent: over 500 connectors, including sophisticated technologies such as Hadoop, SAP, Salesforce.com and more; rigorous quality assurance; useful, user-requested features, and user forums teeming with expertise. At the same time, because Talend is open source and standards-based (Eclipse, Java, SQL, Apache), partners enjoy a total cost of ownership that’s far below what competitors can offer.
- Low risk: Broad market adoption - from the open source community, as well as from a wide variety of commercial enterprises - serves as strong validation of Talend’s technology and platform. And Talend’s commitment to support its partners ensures their success.
Data management and application integration are universal problems. Talend’s OEM Program is designed to enable ISVs and other solution providers to address these functions with a very easy and cost-justifiable solution. An OEM partnership with Talend includes the following components:
- The Talend OEM team, both in-person and online. When partners become Powered by Talend, they gain immediate access to Talend’s OEM professionals, who help embed Talend technology into the partner applications and then bring them to market. Partners also have dedicated account managers who serve as advocates inside Talend, making sure resources and assistance are always available when needed.
- The Talend Partner Center. In addition, partners can take advantage of the Talend Partner Center, a secure portal service that provides quick access to news, events, sales tips, collateral, training, demos, best practices and integration procedures. Using these Partner Center resources, businesses can strengthen their applications, position them more effectively, and close more deals.
- Talend Services and Support. Talend has a mature support infrastructure that is committed to the success of partners. Pre-sales, sales, architectural, and technical support are a few of the many offerings of which OEM partners can take advantage. Dedicated account managers ensure that partners receive the support they require.
- Talend Training. Whether it be training on Data Management or Advanced Training for Application Integration, Talend has curriculum and course offerings that enable OEM partners to implement and run Talend products successfully. Training courses are offered in-person and on-line, and can be tailored to partner-specific requirements.
- Commitment to Success. Talend’s OEM software licenses are warrantied and guaranteed. That assurance, combined with a dedicated account manager, a mature training program, and a “peace-of-mind” support infrastructure ensure the success of Talend’s OEM partners.

Why use Talend for Application Integration?
The OEM program provides a complete framework for managing the entire SOA lifecycle. Starting with design-time tooling based on the Eclipse framework, developers and architects can create services, business processes and data integrations. The OEM program also includes extensive management capabilities to monitor and optimize service-oriented architectures.
The extensible runtime framework is built on the distributed Talend ESB, a lightweight, distributed, high-performance engine that provides service enablement, mediation and a reliable message transport. The Talend ESB is based on popular open-source projects in the Apache Software Foundation. The ESB also includes tooling and service locator capabilities to easily reuse services in applications.
Benefits:
- Lower total cost of ownership. Lightweight, easily embeddable endpoints let partners adopt an SOA incrementally, economically and technically, and affordable pricing allows small initial deployment and linear growth.
- Dynamic, adaptable and fault-tolerant for a competitive edge in the marketplace. The Talend platform offers a flexible architecture that's configurable at runtime, with a plug-in architecture. Additionally, with no single point of failure, Talend helps ensure partner solutions remain up and running.
- Technology-neutral deployment for low-risk deployment and higher revenues. Talend's standards-based platform allows OEM partners to eliminate vendor lock-in. Multiple messaging systems and protocols provide additional flexibility. And Talend works with partners' existing software and hardware systems, making integration straightforward and speeding time-to-market.
