A
Message from Talend's Chief Technical Officer
"We
often speak of the benefits of open source - code access, flexibility,
openness, cost savings, etc. But there is less talk of the development
model which, in my opinion, is a major differentiator when compared to
proprietary solutions. Here, in summary, are the key elements that
differentiate our approach to development from that of proprietary
software vendors."
Talend
a Visionary in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools
For the
first time ever an open source player is included in Gartner's Magic
Quadrant for Data Integration. Talend is making its entry in the
Visionaries quadrant. Talend's position was based on completeness of
vision and ability to execute.
For vendors to be included in this Magic Quadrant, "they must possess
within their technology portfolio the subset of capabilities
identified by Gartner as most critical from within the overall range
of capabilities expected in data integration tools."
Talend is happy to provide you with access to Gartner's Magic Quadrant
for Data Integration Tools
New Version of Talend Data Quality
An enhanced version of Talend Data Quality, version 3.2, is now
available. The new features deliver improved usability, expanded

advantage of Talend's upcoming open source
Master Data Management
offering.
New Talend Partners and Customers
MCF
Technology Solutions streamlined its integration processes, reduced costs
for its clients and enhanced its capability to connect to new data sources
with Talend's data integration technology
Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, MCF Technology Solutions is a
full-service Web 2.0 Platform as a Service (PaaS) provider whose role is
to help customers maximize cloud computing PaaS tools to create efficient,
low cost, and highly effective Business Process Applications (BPA).
“Talend lets us narrow the gap between the client process need and the
technology to support it. The same person having the conversation with our
client about their requirements can also build the solution which means no
loss in translation, reduced hand-off costs and increased development
speeds. The speed at which we can develop and release jobs is
significantly better than 4 times faster.”
Govind Davis, Solution Designer
The world's
leading event organizer, Reed Exhibitions, chose Talend Integration Suite
& Talend Data Quality to synchronize data
Reed
Exhibitions runs over 470 events in 37 countries, bringing together over 7
million active event participants worldwide. The company will be using
Talend's software to support its global enterprise applications program by
providing real-time integration between its online web platform, which
services over 400 websites, and key business applications including
Salesforce.com.
“We were attracted by the concept of using an open source tool to help
keep costs low. It is important that we use a solution that can work
efficiently alongside other real-time resources and has the capability to
move data automatically to help meet client demands and compliance
regulations, and Talend's enterprise open source solutions met our
criteria perfectly.”
Dominic Shine, CIO
White Paper: High Performance for Integrating Massive Data Volumes
Processing
very large data sets provides unique constraints, especially when time
windows available for this processing are shrinking.
This Technical White Paper presents a variety of technologies that are
available for accelerating the processing of large data volumes, including
massive parallelization, optimized data-set-mode processing based on Map
Reduce, grid deployment, and load balancing.

Talend Discovery Roadshow
The
Talend Roadshow is a tremendous success with over 1,000 users trained in
just six months! Recent feedback proves that the best way to demonstrate
the value of Talend's technology to potential users is to have them try it
themselves. In these free 3-hour technical workshops participants will
receive complimentary training on Talend Open Studio - and will leave with
a USB key containing the data integration jobs they just developed.
So
far 100 workshops have been provided in 10 countries, with more locations
planned. Check out the calendar and sign up:
