Talend Secures Additional Funding from Top Tier Venture Capital Firms

To fuel its continued growth and momentum, Talend has secured $3.5 million in Series B financing. The funding round, contributed by AGF Private Equity and Galileo Partners, Talend’s historical financial partners, will help Talend expand its technical and market lead in the Open Source data integration market.

Talend Open Studio v2.1

Version 2.1 of Talend Open Studio was released in July.  It brings numerous functional enhancements and reinforces Talend’s positioning as leader of the Open Source data integration market.

Among the new features of Talend Open Studio v2.1:

• Integration with Open Source platforms such as SpagoBI (business intelligence) or Spagic (SOA)
• Slowly Changing Dimensions support
• MOM (Message Oriented Middleware) support for real-time integration jobs
• Fuzzy logic data matching (using the Levenshtein and metaphone algorithms)
• Support of SSH remote connections and PGP file decryption
