The Apache Software Foundation provides organizational, legal, and financial support for a broad range of open source software projects. Through a collaborative and meritocratic development process, Apache projects deliver enterprise-grade, freely available software products that attract large communities of users. The pragmatic Apache License makes it easy for all users, commercial and individual, to deploy Apache products.

The French Association of Software Vendors (Association Française des Editeurs de Logiciels, AFDEL) has been founded to gather together software vendors with the same community spirit and to represent the software industry in France. The association partners with European Software Association (ESA).
Talend is a Board Member of AFDEL (first open source vendor to be elected to the board) and chairs the open source and big data commissions.

 

ASC X12, chartered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in 1979, develops electronic data interchange (EDI) standards for national and global markets. With more than 315 X12 EDI standards and increasing X12 XML schemas, ASC X12 enhances business processes, reduces costs and expands organizational reach.

The Eclipse Foundation is a not-for-profit, member supported corporation that hosts the Eclipse projects and helps cultivate both an open source community and an ecosystem of complementary products and services. The independent not-for-profit corporation was created to allow a vendor neutral and open, transparent community to be established around Eclipse. Today, the Eclipse community consists of individuals and organizations from a cross section of the software industry.

Since its introduction in 1998 as the open, participative process to develop and revise the Java™ technology specifications, reference implementations, and test suites, the Java Community Process (JCP) program has fostered the evolution of the Java platform in cooperation with the international Java developer community.

The OSGi Alliance is a worldwide consortium of technology innovators that advances a proven and mature process to create open specifications that enable the modular assembly of software built with Java technology. The OSGi Service Platform facilitates the componentization of software modules and applications and assures interoperability of applications and services over a variety of networked devices.

OW2 is a global open-source software community. Its mission is the development of open-source distributed middleware, in the form of flexible and adaptable components. Those components range from specific software frameworks and protocols to integrated platforms. OW2 developments follow a systematic component-based approach.
