One of my role models in Open Source

MySQL is probably one of the most established Open Source vendors and Marten Mickos, it CEO, is a really smart guy. They had first entrant advantage and managed to leverage it tremendously - today their RDBMS is a reference in the field, exactly as Talend is about to become. Marten welcomed us this morning at MySQL’s Silicon Valley HQ and we had a very constructive meeting. All the team at Talend is working day after day (and night after night) to become the MySQL of Data Integration. I am admiring the success of Marten and his team and I am proud to say that the Talend team has the spirit to carry out the same challenge.
