Open Source Leader Lands Major Contract with Leading Travel Company to Drive Enhanced Customer Engagement and Business Agility
Talend announced today that interest in its master data management (MDM) solutions from leading players in the travel industry is growing strongly as the sector becomes increasingly competitive, driven by the rise of dedicated online providers and an ever more demanding customer base.
Providers are continuously looking for ways to drive business agility by improving operational processes and by engaging more closely with customers. In particular, they are looking to better understand their customers and how they interact with them, ultimately achieving a level of insight into those customers they hadn’t had before.
Talend MDM helps ensure data quality is maintained, a critical differentiator in the travel industry, cleaning data and de-duplicating it where multiple records of the same person exist or where names have been misspelt or incorrectly input. In addition, the solution is open source and based on a unified platform which makes it easily accessible and accelerates the development cycle.
In line with these industry trends, leading leisure travel company, TUI UK has chosen to implement Talend’s Master Data Management (MDM) solution, to consolidate data from various systems that serve multiple customer points of access into a single view of the customer.
