Open source leader boasts 45 percent year-on-year growth, indicates strong momentum in Europe
Talend, a global open source software leader, announced today that it has recorded strong bookings performance in the third quarter of 2012, with a 45 percent growth compared to the same period in the previous year. The geographies recording the strongest growth during this quarter were the United States with a bookings increase of 52 percent and Western Europe with 44 percent.
“The third quarter is traditionally a challenging one for software vendors, especially in Europe,” said Bertrand Diard, CEO and co-founder of Talend. “However, we are not seeing softening of demand in any of the markets we serve. Talend’s integration solutions help organizations streamline their IT investments and deliver faster solutions that help the business optimize its bottom line. As we enter the fourth quarter, we are very bullish about the growth perspectives of Talend, and the renewed potential of our market."
In this quarter ending September 30, 2012, Talend has signed large contracts – some in excess of one million dollars, including Talend’s largest deal ever closed in Europe – with numerous clients in industries ranging from government to entertainment, healthcare or retail.
Also fueling Talend’s growth is its unique position in the big data market. The only data integration and data quality vendor to fully leverage the power of Hadoop and big data platforms, Talend offers the most agile solution for big data today. Its unique code generation approach, optimized for these massively parallel environments, helps organizations of all sizes to reap the rewards of the vast amounts of data they have collected over time, at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions.
