Talend, a global leader in big data integration software, announced today that it appointed Michael Pickett to the newly created position of VP, Business Development and Partner Ecosystems, with a charter to help partners take advantage of the high-growth big data and next-generation analytics markets.
Pickett brings a wealth of enterprise software expertise to Talend having held alliances management positions at Tibco Software, Mercury Interactive and, most recently, Informatica. Over the course of 10 years at Informatica, Pickett led and transformed a variety of high-profile organizations within the company, including its Alliances & OEM Sales, Sales Enablement, Emerging Products Sales and Global Education Services groups. He previously headed up Strategic Global Alliances at Tibco Software and, while at Mercury Interactive, designed and launched its Partner Enablement Program. He will report to Talend’s SVP of Sales, Brad Stratton.
“Mike is absolutely the type of forwarding-thinking strategist that we need as we continue to disrupt the market and legacy integration providers,” said Brad Stratton, senior vice president of Sales. “With deep market knowledge and influence, Mike will help accelerate Talend’s expansion in emerging markets and enhance the value of our partner ecosystem in established territories.”
Pickett’s skill set and experience will help Talend bring greater value to its partner and channel communities with new programs and initiatives including:
· An increased focus on partner development and support, particularly in high-growth areas such as big data/next generation analytics, and cloud data integration;
· An expansion of VAR programs and infrastructure to support greater scale and international reach;
· New embedded and commercial use programs that enable more companies to leverage Talend solutions in their go-to-market offerings.
“Talend is at an exciting juncture in its growth and nicely aligned with the blazing trajectory that is big data and cloud integration. Combined, these factors create an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to establish and grow meaningful, long-term partnerships and alliances,” said Pickett. “I don’t believe there is another company that can match Talend’s technical offerings, deployment flexibility, or most importantly, ability to drive business value for customers. I am proud to be a part of Talend and a team that is positively impacting companies like GE Healthcare, Hess, OTTO, and hundreds of others by helping them quickly turn raw data into informed action.”
Talend is experiencing tremendous growth, particularly in the big data realm. In its recent Q3 earnings, the company reported an impressive year-to-date increase in new subscription bookings of 136 percent. Pickett will play a central role in continuing to drive that growth by using his market and channel experience to help increase revenue among Talend’s partner and channel communities. He will also be responsible for creating and managing channel programs to support the ever-growing number of organizations using big data integration software for business insights.
